State Farm and Jordon with Ken Rose's office have been AMAZING throughout the entire claims process! They have followed up every step of the way, recognize my voice when they reach out and have expressed kindness and care each time I have spoken with them. "A year ago, my youngest sibling went through a devastating loss. A house fire,a complete loss. I drove up and spent over 3 weeks with her,helping her get things organized and itemized. Sitting in wet,cold,smoke covered debris hoping to find anything from her kids growing up or deceased husband to be able to save. I watched her fall apart daily. I watched as she would throw out items representing her family and their physical memories. I spoke with one of her reps from State Farm, Amber. She was attentive and always available with just a call. Most times,she was just there asking if my sister was ok. The claim was given a rep out of Battle Creek Michigan. He was to be her guide to assist her in moving forward in the process of turning in paperwork and getting reimbursed. Her agent was out of Portage, and she saw him once. The morning after the fire. She would call,leave messages, emails, and no response! The "guide" in Battle Creek, same thing. No responses, no help. Long waits, if responded at all. I watched my sibling struggling and being ignored, with no communication. Until I reached out to ask why there was no communication from the agent or State Farm. She contacted the corporate office to ask for a new agent. The process was fast,it was resolved in a matter of moments. Now we could see that it was not State Farm. It was their representatives in the field. The agent and the adjuster he worked with. After being assigned a new agent, things started moving quickly. Texts were sent, money was finally paid, and concern was shown by the adjuster, who had not been there for almost a year. Within hours, she was receiving compensation that was months overdue. The new agent assigned is Barry Dickinson. As soon as he took over the account, he immediately reached out, and he's in constant contact. He is following up on everything starting from day one to make sure she is represented correctly. The agent that is no longer in charge had taken over from the previous agent, Gary Wood, when he retired. Gary was our family agent for years, and my family stayed with this agent because he took over the accounts. He is definitely not Gary! The lack of follow-through on something as simple as a paper copy of coverage for the vehicle was the first sign that this could be a poor agent. I am thankful to State Farm for helping resolve this situation. I am extremely thankful to Barry Dickinson for communicating and resolving almost a year of no communication. I am hoping that State Farm is evaluating and will be looking into the conduct of the previous agent and his adjuster."
